on Humanity's Team
We are aware
that there are many citizen activist groups now functioning, or
forming, around the globe. We have no wish to be simply a duplicate
of these, or to "compete" with them. Humanity's Team was formed
for a singular purpose: creating the space for a new spirituality
to emerge on the planet. We see this as a solution to the problems
now facing humanity. Indeed, we see it as the only lasting solution.
Our focus will
be on nothing else. Not on feeding the hungry, not on correcting
social injustice, not even on stopping war. Not directly. We believe
that our actions will indirectly and automatically put an end to
these experiences.
We observe that
direct action to change these conditions almost always fails in
the long run, not for lack of good intention, but because such direct
action misses the point. It does not address the causal factor that
creates these conditions in the first place.
It has been
said elsewhere on this website, and it will be said again here:
The reason we are facing a crisis on our planet is that the world
is seeking to address its problem at every level except the level
at which the problem exists. The problem facing the world today
is not a political problem, it is not an economic problem, and it
is not a military problem. It is a spiritual problem.
No one in international
leadership is addressing this issue. Now, time is running out, and
somebody must.
This is what
Humanity's Team is all about. We are now in the process of putting
together a step-by-step program to affect the entire world by creating
a mechanism through which humanity's spiritual understandings may
be dramatically enlarged and its belief systems expanded. It is
what we believe about God and about Life that is causing our problems.
